Thank You Thank You Thank You Katie, I love them! And I love my beautiful chunky almost 2 month old 'Tiny'! There is no way I could pick a favorite, really can any Mom do that?

smiling...really smiling

Jovie sure knows how to melt your heart. She has been giving us the biggest smiles since she was a couple weeks old. I know everyone says that babies only smile when they have gas, but we beg to differ. When she was a few weeks old my sister in law Gina watched Jovie for me while Halle and I went to one of Dan's soccer games. And just a couple of minutes after we left the house Gina called me and said, "I just had to call and tell you that Jovie just gave me the biggest smiles, I mean REAL smiles, she smiled right at me." She couldn't believe that she did that so young. My Mom has said the same thing.

another one?

This past fall during city league football Dano fractured his wedding ring finger and tore the tendon. He had it braced for like six weeks and finally it healed (without surgery) about a week or so before Jovie was born (Dec 21). Well on Monday in his city league basketball game, he is not sure when exactly or how, but he fractured his left hand's middle finger. At first he thought it looked a little crooked so he tried pulling it to straighten it out and he thought that it was just jammed or sprained. But after an hour or two it blew up to double the size and bruised like crazy. He went to the doctor the next day to get it checked out, just in case, and sure enough...fractured, but worse than last time. His doctor thinks it might need wired back together but is sending him to a hand specialist next week to get it checked out. So here he is again all braced and taped up, just a month or so later. Ahhhhhh!

One of the Reasons Why I Love Dano

Today Halle, out of the blue, decides that she wants to go swimming and now. I tried explaining to her that maybe we could go tomorrow but we can't go swimming on Sunday. Of course she was devastated and balling. I told her to call her Dad and ask if they could go swimming sometime soon (and to see if he could talk her out of wanting to go right that second). Through their conversation she was very emotional until she heard her Daddy say, "Go get your suit on and be ready for when I get home from work." Instantly she smiles and says, "I go get ready." So Halle ran up the stairs, put a suit on and patiently waited for her Daddy to get home. As soon as Dano walked through those doors he hugged Halle, ran upstairs and got his suit on and they went "swimming" in our bath tub for the next half an hour. He is my hero and that is just ONE of the reasons why I love him.

Fiesta Time

It's always a party for us whenever the Broncos play but we have come to love each time the party is Fiesta style. Kelli's mom did a great job of setting the mood. She has a full set of these fiesta plates and bowls filled with every mexican food you can think of, a sombrero with candy in the brim from the pinata of a frog (for Horned Frog) that we busted open. Our little girls are the cutest little Bronco Babes around. Once again way to go BRONCOS!!!!!!!

Hello Jovie

Beautiful Jovie Marie came into the world via C-section on 12-21-09 (see that Quinn) at 8:27 pm. She was 9 lbs 2 oz. and 22 in. long. Kelli was 6 days over due and was induced at 7:00 in the morning starting at a 4 (dilation). Things progressed slowly and she got to a 7 by 5 pm but by 8pm and a few episodes of a failing epidural she was only to an 8. The doctors decided to rush her into surgery for a C-section due to possible fit problems (small pelvis and large baby) and baby under stress . They decided to put Kelli all the way under and wouldn't let anyone else in the room. Dan was very sad and nervous not to be by their sides. All went well though and both Kel and Jov are doing great.

Cookie Party

As the snow falls and the tree is up and decorated we are starting to feel pretty festive. And to top the day off we get invited to a Cookie Party family home evening at Dave and Gina's house. At Family Home Evening we talked about the true meaning of Christmas, which was good news to Dan so he could re-teach Halle that Christmas is Jesus' birthday and not Santas.

Lacey brought over some yummy sugar cookies and the girls had a great time frosting and licking them.

Robbie-Kate shared the cutest little apron with Hal as they made their gingerbread "boys".
It makes me so happy to see Halle so happy around her family all of the time. What a blessing.
